Privacy Policy

Effective January 1, 2026 · Last revised April 8, 2026

Your Life Weekly is built around a simple principle: your most personal data — your birthdate, your memories, the chapters of your life — belongs entirely to you. This policy explains clearly how we handle your information.

By default, Your Life Weekly does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data you enter lives exclusively on your device. The exceptions are: (1) the optional Public Profile feature, which transmits only the data you choose to publish, and (2) the Shop, which collects information necessary to process and fulfill your order.

1. Information We Collect

By default, Your Life Weekly does not collect personal information. The core app experience has no user accounts, no registration process, and no backend servers that receive data from your device.

During onboarding, the app asks for your date of birth. On iOS, this date is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. On the web, it is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. It is used solely to calculate your life grid, age display, life statistics, and week-based features. It is never transmitted to us or any third party unless you choose to activate a Public Profile.

All content you create within the app — life chapters, memories, goals, and personal notes — is stored using the same local-only framework and governed by the same principle.

If you activate a Public Profile (optional premium feature):

When you choose to publish a Public Profile, the following data is transmitted to and stored on our servers:

This data is collected solely to display your public profile page and is transmitted only when you explicitly publish or update your profile. We do not collect this data passively or automatically.

If you make a purchase through the Shop:

When you place an order in the Your Life Weekly Shop, the following information is collected to process and fulfill your order:

This information is collected only when you voluntarily place an order. We do not collect this data passively or use it for any purpose other than processing your transaction and delivering your products.

2. How Your Data Is Stored

Local data (default): On iOS, all data is stored on your device using Apple’s SwiftData persistence framework, protected by your device’s built-in security including hardware encryption and authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode). On the web, data is stored in your browser’s IndexedDB, protected by your browser’s security model and device-level encryption. We have no access to your locally stored data at any time.

If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your iOS device, your app data may be included in those backups. This is controlled entirely by your iOS settings and Apple’s iCloud policies — Your Life Weekly does not configure or access iCloud sync in any way.

Public Profile data (opt-in only): If you activate a Public Profile, your published profile data is stored on servers hosted by Supabase, Inc., a cloud infrastructure provider. This data is stored in secure, encrypted databases and is transmitted over HTTPS. This data is publicly accessible by design — it powers your public profile page. Server-side data is retained only for as long as your Public Profile is active. See Section 5 for deletion details.

3. Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising

Your Life Weekly contains no analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, crash reporting services that transmit data, or any third-party tracking code.

We do not know how frequently you open the app, which features you use, or any behavioral information. We receive no such information because we have no mechanism to collect it. The app displays no advertisements and contains no advertising networks or ad identifiers.

4. Third-Party Services

For users who do not activate a Public Profile, we do not share any data with third parties because we do not possess any user data to share.

If you activate a Public Profile, your published profile data is stored using Supabase, Inc. as our infrastructure provider. Supabase processes this data solely on our behalf and in accordance with their data processing agreements. Supabase does not use your data for their own purposes. You can review Supabase’s privacy practices at supabase.com/privacy.

If you make a purchase through the Shop:

The iOS version of Your Life Weekly is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain diagnostic and usage information in accordance with their own privacy policies, which apply independently of this document. You can review Apple’s privacy practices at apple.com/privacy.

The app includes packaged historical and cultural reference data (such as world events and weekly snapshots). This content is bundled within the app itself and does not involve network requests or the transmission of any user information to external sources at runtime.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Local data: Because all core app data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times. On iOS, deleting the app permanently removes all locally stored data. On the web, clearing your browser’s site data for yourlifeweekly.com removes all locally stored data.

If iCloud Backup is enabled on your iOS device, residual data may remain in your iCloud backup until those backups are overwritten or deleted by Apple’s standard retention processes.

Public Profile data: If you have activated a Public Profile, you may unpublish or delete it at any time through the app. Upon deletion, your profile data will be removed from our servers promptly. Cached versions of your public profile page may persist temporarily in search engine caches, CDN caches, or web archives, which are outside our control.

If you wish to request deletion of your Public Profile data and are unable to do so through the app, contact us at the address in Section 10 and we will process your request within 5 business days.

Shop order data: Information collected during a Shop purchase (name, email, shipping address, and order details) is retained by Stripe and Printful as necessary to process your transaction, fulfill your order, and handle any post-purchase support (such as returns or replacements). Stripe retains payment records in accordance with their own data retention policies and applicable financial regulations. Printful retains order and shipping records in accordance with their own policies. To request deletion of your order data, please contact us at the address in Section 10.

6. Children’s Privacy

Your Life Weekly does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, and is not directed at children. The app has no mechanism to submit personal information to any server for any user of any age.

If you believe a child has used the app and you have concerns, please contact us at the address below. We will respond promptly, though we hold no data in our possession that can be retrieved or deleted on our end.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have privacy rights under applicable law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and similar regional regulations.

If you do not use Public Profiles: Because Your Life Weekly does not collect or store personal data on any server, the practical exercise of these rights — such as access, correction, portability, or erasure — is entirely within your own control on your device.

If you use a Public Profile: You may exercise the following rights regarding your server-stored profile data:

For any privacy-related inquiries or to exercise rights you cannot fulfill through the app, please use the contact information in Section 10.

8. Data Security

Local data: The security of your locally stored data is maintained by your platform’s security architecture. On iOS, this includes hardware-level encryption, application sandboxing, and Secure Enclave protection. On the web, this includes browser-level site isolation and device encryption.

For users who do not use Public Profiles, we do not transmit your data over any network, so the most common vectors for personal data exposure do not apply.

Public Profile data: Server-stored profile data is transmitted over HTTPS encryption and stored in encrypted databases managed by Supabase. However, because Public Profile data is intentionally made publicly accessible, it should be treated as public information. Do not include sensitive personal information (such as exact addresses, financial details, or private medical information) in your Public Profile.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this document. Material changes — particularly any introduction of data collection — will be communicated through App Store update release notes.

Our commitment to local-first data storage is a foundational design decision. The optional Public Profile feature is a deliberate, user-initiated exception to this principle. Any further departure from local-first design would constitute a significant product change and would be disclosed prominently. Continued use of the app after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
